Well, it's not too late for A-net to show they have learnt stuff, If they remember the mistakes they made in the past, then the PvP in GW2 could be better, so I would buy to see if they have.
P.S: That picture is win.

Absolutely. I've considered either Stargate: Worlds or Hellgate: London. After three campaigns and an expansion, I think they've had a chance. The direction they've taken the game isn't what I want it to be, and that's fine; that simply means I should hunt for a game that's more appropriate for me.

core professions are ftw.
1234567 sins, spirit shitters, rampaging trees and men who wear skirts = fail.
whoever implimented these classes as balanced for pvp should have been fired a long time ago. this broke pvp for me.
edit: oh yeah, for these reasons, and the unwillingness to balance the professions in any way, for the lack of community relations up until recently (though it still isnt great), no. i will not be buying GWII

I think the "Expose Defenses has a 15-second recharge" change kind of said it all, it seems like the only way Anet's willing to fix something is by responding to the outrage after they completely botch a balance update.
Nightfall's power creep in general ruined it, everything since Nightfall's release has been garbage that's low on skill and high on damage output, i.e. Conjure, Ritspike, Shadow Prison spike, DA spam, trees, Rampage thumpers, Shadow Prison Eurospike, Spiritual Pain spike, Searing Flames, SS+Fear Me, Discord heroway, Degen/hex heroway, and Savannah Heat+Assassins.
Actually not everything, we've had stupid defensive builds too, like hexes on Jade, the current VoDway/Blockway stuff, Paragon holding builds, and [ftl]'s anti-paragonway hexes/QZ/Jagged Bones... thing.
I bailed out of the GvG/HA circuits a while ago. Sometimes I'll go to RA/AB and kill some bad players with cheesy builds for fun. Didn't get GWEN and won't. Fire Izzy, hire Ensign, thanks!

It's by EA, and there's no coverage of it out there yet that hasn't been puked up by EA's marketing team. It could very well be good, but right now it is 100% hype.

Yea, skill balances should have happened way more often. That is why the game suffers.

I will not buy GW2 because of Anet's bad management. If you can't learn after 2 years with players telling you how to fix things you are hopeless.
Another reason is they abandoned competitive play. No tournaments with real prizes.

Probably because there's no new chapter to sell, meaning there isn't much reason to keep pushing a game that's past its prime point in sales and isn't worth pushing any more.

1.GW2 has world pvp, thats a no no.
2. If the same pvp community of gw1 moves over to guild wars 2 then the game is done after 2 months flat.

And that explains why starcraft is still has competitive tournaments? Anet would make more money off of advertising spots and vendors at their events to float the game for a very long time. That opportunity has long passed but at least they had a shot at it. Some games never do.

Because Starcraft is still selling well in Korea. If the store I work at is any indication, the Starcraft Battle Chest is selling more copies than Nightfall by a healthy margin too.

And why do you think that is? They get paid pretty well for Starcraft in Korea. Where does it come from you ask? Advertisements, commercials, events, sponsorship, ect.....

Yes. Did not buy GWEN, wont buy GW2. And as it is will probably stay away from anything by ANET or NCsoft ever again... It may have started to get better for PvP but the company(ies) got a LOOOOONG hard road ahead of them if they wish to change my opinion. Actions speak louder than words.
P.S.Might as well add that IMHO as someone who enjoys a good PvE game as much as anyone else, that they pretty much fail at that too...
